There are many hiking trails near the gite. Nearby attractions include: swimming at Glandieu Lake, visiting the Glandieu waterfall, Visiting the craft artists at  l’Atelier de Gastyne, and the local produce shop quand on sème, enjoying the Walibi amusement park at Les Avenières, sampling the famous St Genix cake, following the winery route in the Bugey, visiting the towns of Belley and  Morestel, city of painters.

This is a region of lakes : Aiguebelette, le Bourget, Charavines on Lake Paladru. Walk or cycle along the Viarhona on the Geneva-Lyon sector. In Winter there is cross-country and downhill skiing and snowshoeing just one hour away in the Jura or Chartreuse mountains.

Visit le parc des Oiseaux at Villard les Dombes, the silk musée de tisserand at la Batie Montgascon and numerous châteaux. Don’t forget the Balme caverns, le Repaire de Mandrin, The well-known towns of Annecy, Lyon and Grenoble are all reachable for a day trip.
